The Solution

Nonte is a digital platform that enables researchers to work in a virtual collaborative environment across multiple disciplines, from the lab to the patient bedside. The platform’s core registry works like a hospital information system—but with specimens instead of patients. Specimens are collected, enrolled, classified, and organized. Data is protected, validated, rostered, and shared across the research team. The result is a robust workflow creating faster, repeatable, and more accurate results. This dramatically improves the probability of a researcher’s success.

Barrington Edge worked closely with the founders of Nonte in multiple areas and helped launch the company. Our work focused around the following key areas of Nonte’s initial business planning and operations –

Corporate Structure and Governance

We worked with the Founders to develop a new corporate structure for Nonte as a market facing company. The initial genesis of Nonte was formed inside its parent company. However, the business model was unique and very different from its parent. We helped develop its brand identity, its structure, its capitalization, go-to-market strategy, and eventually a sale to a new major shareholder.

Competitor and Market Research

With our extensive experience in the healthcare industry and understanding of the ecosystem, we conducted research to identify niche opportunity in the translational research market to launch Nonte as a product. We researched and helped develop key market metrics such as TAM, SAM, and SOM for Nonte along with building a plan on which markets to launch early-stage trials to build validation.

Building Growth Playbook

Our team brought a wealth of knowledge in software sales and business development to assist Nonte to design a Growth Playbook which includes
i) Sales Methodology,
ii) Channel Strategy,
iii) Market Expansion Plan, and
iv) Sales & Marketing Team Structure for a period of 3 years.

Pitch Deck 

A pitch deck is a Founders resume to the investment community. It is the document that a potential investor will spend 3 minutes on when received to determine if you get a meeting. We worked closely with the founders and built Nonte’s Investor Pitch Deck and Teaser which tells Nonte’s story in a visually appealing manner, supported by vital industry statistics and competitive positioning. We coached and helped deliver the “pitch” to a number of key investors.

Financial Modelling and Pricing Model

Our expert team of Financial Analysts built the proforma financial statements, capital structure table, and a robust SaaS Pricing Model for Nonte’s suit of services by reviewing competitive landscape, geography, market niche, and future product roadmap. We also helped the founders in their capital raise rounds and guided them through due diligence process and investor relationship journey.

Outcome

Through a collaborative and consultative engagement model, Nonte has been successful in securing lighthouse client with Texas Medical Center, the largest translational research institute in the world. Nonte also secured recurring revenue with a leading healthcare provider in the Atlantic Region and is in active discussion to deploy its solution at leading healthcare research institutes and schools in the US, Canada, and EU.
